First of all and on behalf of the Spanish Department I would like to welcome all the new teachers and students to this new academic year.
As always, at the beginning of the school year I would like to inform you about the results of the Selectividad Exams from this past June. These exams are required to gain entry to Spanish Universities/Colleges.
From the 30 students enrolled in Grade 12 in the last academic year, 16 followed the Dual Program. These 16 students completed both the American High School Diploma and the Spanish Bachillerato. 15 of these students took the Selectividad Exam to gain entry to Colleges/Universities in Spain.
In the links below, you can see the grades of each of the students and the University where they have already begun their studies.
The last 4 grades of High School (Grades 9-12) represent 60% of the final grade, and the Selectividad exam, the other 40% of the final grade. The final result is graded on a 10 point scale, with 10 being the highest score possible.
14 of the students will stay in Barcelona.
We wish them success in this new period.

En primer lugar, en nombre del Departamento de Español, quiero dar la bienvenida a todos los alumnos y profesores nuevos.
Seguidamente, y como cada año al comienzo del curso, les informo de los resultados de los exámenes de Selectividad del pasado mes de junio. Estos exámenes son un requisito indispensable para entrar en la Universidad en España.
El año pasado, de los 30 alumnos matriculados en 12º grado, dieciséis siguieron el programa oficial de convalidación, obteniendo además del Diploma de High School, la Credencial de Convalidación del Bachillerato español. De los 16 alumnos, 15 se presentaron a las Pruebas de Selectividad (PAU).
A continuación pueden ver las calificaciones de cada uno de los alumnos y el centro universitario donde ha empezado sus estudios.
