Introducing the BFIS Lecture Series PDF Print E-mail
Written by Monna McDiarmid
The staff members of BFIS are offering a series of workshops and talks called the "BFIS Lecture Series."  These lectures and workshops will be held on campus on weekday afternoons (in first semester, the presentations will be offered on three Thursdays and one Monday) between 4:15 and 5:15 p.m. and are available, at no cost, to any member of our community.

These presentations give members of our staff a chance to share their passions with students, parents and teachers interested in these unique opportunities for learning.  (In other words, this is for fun!)

The first session of the series will be held this Thursday, November 15th, at 4:15 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Ms. Genevieve Hiltebrand presents a Martial Arts class to anyone who is interested.  Please wear comfortable clothing.  RSVP to Ms. Hiltebrand.

Stay tuned for:
  • Thursday November 22nd at 4:30 p.m.: Ellie Kreischer presents Simple Bookbinding Techniques in the Art Room.  Please RSVP to Ms. Kreischer.
  • Thursday November 29th at 4:15 p.m.: Bradley Bergey presents his MAIS presentation on critical media literacy: training students to become critical readers of advertising. Please RSVP to Mr. Bergey.
  • Monday December 17 at 4:15 p.m.: Travel Club members present adventures and photos of their trip to Cinque Terre in the cafeteria.  Please RSVP to Ms. McDiarmid.
Please join us for these learning opportunities.
