National Honor Society Print E-mail
Written by Daniel Lazar

The Michael Potter Chapter of The National Honor Society is an elite group of BFIS upperclassmen who demonstrate the attributes of service, scholarship, character and leadership. Students who have achieved a 3.5 grade point average or higher are eligible to apply to NHS. Upon receiving application, the NHS faculty council convenes to determine the extent to which students demonstrate the aforesaid attributes.

In short, our objective is to exercise service, scholarship, character and leadership as a means to make the world a better place. To this end, this school year NHS has devoted innumerable hours to tutoring students in need and to raising funds for Los Jovenes de CATCCO, a youth club in the village of Ollantaytambo in Southern Peru.
