We will be there for Happy Hour from 7.00 pm onwards.
The first drink is on the school!

On April 24th 2008 a group of over 30 BFIS alumni and teachers met at the Chicago Pizza Pie Factory for drinks after work. Like in the "good old times" we were there for Happy Hour. Do you remember those strawberry daiquiris and piña coladas???!!! Ms. Geier, David Magaña, Pilar Hernando, Alexandra Oriol, Nancy Vilallonga, Mr. Pover and Maribel Castillo were there like 10-20 years ago!!. There were alumni from various graduating classes ranging from the class of 1988 to the class of 2007. We had alumni representing the 1988, 1993, 1992, 1994,1995,1996,1997, 2003, 2004 and 2007 graduating classes. Many met for the first time and exchanged contact details to keep in touch.
We had a chance to talk about BFIS, former teachers and friends that are scattered all over the world. Many coincided in saying that a lot alumni are registered in Facebook and encouraged the rest to do so as it has become an important tool for networking. There is even a Facebook group called BFIS alumni with over 250 entries.
All of the participants agreed that the initiative was very good and that we should try to meet more often. These gatherings give an opportunity to alumni to meet with their former teachers and classmates and also network and make business contacts with other BFIS alumni. Those present had the chance to meet with the new BFIS Director, Dr. David Penberg. They shared with him their educational experience at BFIS. Some of them who have children now talked about the possibility of enrolling their children at the school!
The event lasted until the doors closed!!!
