Continuum Document - Technology is not by itself an end. It is a tool such as a notebook, a textbook, pen and pencil. As with other educational material, technology needs a purpose, a plan and a meaning. The Continuum Document will be the plan and provide a meaning.

The Technology Continuum Document will serve to guide technology/curriculum integration across all grade levels. Specific technology skills will be expected of students at the end of each grade level, making it possible for grade levels above to build on existing skills in a student's repertoire.

The Continuum Document covering grades K-8 has already been generated by the Technology Task Force. Conforming the Task Force are teachers from the Elementary School as well as MS/HS. Additionally, the Director and each School Principal as well as the Technology Director are part of the Task Force.

All Continuum Document components will adhere to a set of standards issued by ISTE, called NETS.

Infrastructure - In order to have access to appropriate tools, and to ensure that these tools will function the way they should, the School network has been upgraded. Core networking equipment has been either replaced or upgraded. This is the first (mostly unseen) part of NCL.

For the infrastructure component of NCL, the following were purchased:
  • Mac OS Xserver
  • MacBooks
  • iMacs
  • Wireless Networking Equipment
  • HP Printers
  • Various Software
  • Digital Projectors
  • Audio Recording Equipment
