The BFIS Campus
Perfect Location
BFIS is nestled in the charming residential neighborhood of Sarrià, one of Barcelona's most appealing areas. Our location truly offers the best of both worlds: the convenience of excellent connectivity to the rest of the city through numerous public transport options, while being in the heart of a community with beautiful streets and modernist architecture. We are just steps away from the expansive Collserola Natural Park, which provides a serene backdrop for learning, and students regularly benefit from the park for outdoor learning opportunities, hiking, and fresh air.
New Center for Creativity and Innovation
In 2026, BFIS will proudly open the doors to a new signature building, a dynamic space where the Creative Arts, Science, Design, Engineering, and Sports will unite. This impressive new center, which will be LEED certified, features bright, collaborative spaces specifically designed to catalyze students' creativity, risk-taking, and entrepreneurial skills.
Among its state-of-the-art facilities, the building will house a robotics studio, cutting-edge visual art and performance spaces (including a recording studio), an Olympic-sized gymnasium, an outdoor amphitheater, a dedicated playspace, and an additional outdoor court. This environment will foster an atmosphere that nurtures problem-solving abilities, confidence, collaboration, and overall well-being.
Facilities
Elementary School
The Elementary School building, inaugurated in 2016, is designed to foster a student-centered learning environment that promotes collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. Its modern spaces feature flexible furniture that adapts to different learning styles and activities. The ground floor is home to our Early Childhood classrooms, while the lower level houses the school kitchen and cafeteria. The building includes 12 bright, spacious classrooms and a rooftop patio. Outside, there are 3 additional patio spaces and a sports court offering an inviting space for both learning and play.
Secondary School
The Secondary School building, inaugurated in January 2021, is a modern, purpose-built facility designed to inspire academic excellence, innovation, and collaboration. It accommodates more than 440 students from Grades 6 to 12 in a dynamic learning environment. The building features 15 spacious classrooms, two fully-equipped science laboratories, a design lab and makerspace for hands-on creative projects, and a large library media center that serves as a hub for research and independent learning. Additional amenities include a rooftop recreational area, changing rooms, and other versatile spaces that support both academic and extracurricular activities.
