Basketball Coach

Coaches are charged with leading sports teams practice in the School facilities and away games as
well as participating in the Iberian and BISA Leagues during the same season. To coach BFIS students, either in Elementary or Secondary, to bring out the best in their abilities through identifying areas for development and implementing appropriate tactics and strategies to release their full potential.

Math Specialist / Instructional Coach

The Math Specialist / Instructional Coach supports the implementation of BFIS’s Vision for Learning by strengthening mathematics teaching and learning across the school, from Elementary through High School. The BFIS curricular programme has been designed, and will evolve over time, to best meet the learning needs of a diverse group of students who are both local and international, and who have English as an additional language as well as learning, behavior, and enrichment needs. At BFIS, we want students who can reason through complex problems. The Mathematics Teacher delivers a concept-based, inquiry-driven curriculum aligned with our Common Core Mathematics Standards, taught within the IB MYP framework, and teaches the IB-prescribed curriculum for those assigned to Diploma Programme math courses.

This entry-level, full-time role provides day-to-day operational support for the school's data systems, digital platforms, and website. The position helps reduce bottlenecks in routine digital work by maintaining data accuracy, supporting platform operations, and keeping the website running smoothly through publishing, maintenance, and coordination tasks. The role supports the IT and EdTech Administrator by carrying out defined processes, assisting users, and ensuring systems remain reliable, documented, and compliant with data protection and safeguarding standards.

BFIS is committed to protecting the wellbeing of our students as well as members of this school community. We have a robust system in place for conducting pre-employment screening and background checks. As part of our hiring and employment requirements, all employees are required to provide information through a background/criminal record screening and past employment verification prior to their commencement of initial contract at BFIS . The scope of the background check includes an extended police clearance or background check issued by the most recent country of residence, dated within the last six months. Additionally, the employee must provide background checks from all locations and countries in which they have lived during the past 10 years.
