In an exhilarating showcase of talent and diplomacy, 32 students from BFIS recently participated in the Model United Nations conference hosted at Oak House School. The event unfolded over two days, Thursday and Friday, and left an indelible mark on all who attended. As we reflect on the accomplishments of our students, it is with great pride and warmest congratulations that we celebrate their remarkable achievements.
The event was a resounding success, with our students distinguishing themselves among the 350 participants from approximately 10 schools. Representing various grades spanning from 9th to 11th, our students navigated the intricacies of international diplomacy with finesse across 8 different committees.
Our students exhibited a commitment to excellence that resonated throughout the conference. Their hard work and perseverance culminated in numerous accolades, with each committee recognizing outstanding individuals. Notably, one Best Delegate, one Best Speaker, and two Honorable Mention awards were bestowed upon our students, underscoring their exceptional contributions to the deliberative process

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to two standout students who assumed the pivotal roles of committee chairs: Ciaran M. and Larissa S. Both demonstrated exemplary leadership and professionalism as they presided over the Human Rights Committee, guiding over 30 students through spirited debates and discussions. Their leadership and proficient management ensured that procedures were meticulously followed, thereby enriching the overall experience and contributing significantly to the success of the event.
