Latest results confirm BFIS amongst the best international schools worldwide.
In early July 2023, students from all around the globe who participated in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) received their results from the May 2023 examination session. At BFIS, we are proud to celebrate our eleventh year of IBDP graduates, which included 53 diploma candidates and 1 course candidate. As an inclusive school, we take great pride in the fact that an impressive 98% of our 11th and 12th grade students undertook the challenges of the full IB Diploma Program and 94% of the graduating class obtained full IB Diploma status on results day compared to a worldwide average of 79%.
BFIS’s average score was 34 points, four points above the worldwide average of 30 points. BFIS’s highest score was 43 points and 56% of BFIS IBDP candidates were awarded the bilingual diploma. At BFIS we report the scores of all of our graduates and believe passionately in the success that all of our students can have in the Diploma Program. We believe that they will all reach their full potential within the program when they are supported by our caring faculty and staff. These results confirm our commitment to that philosophy.

What makes this accomplishment even more remarkable are individual narratives that relate stories untold through statistical data. These stories reflect resilience, perseverance amidst adversity, teamwork, collaboration and dedication within this cohort. This unwavering commitment allowed these students to achieve their goals and even surpass them, ready to become change makers for a world that needs young people with these skills more than ever.

BFIS students from the Class of 2023 have achieved remarkable success in gaining admissions to prestigious colleges and universities worldwide. Among the notable institutions where they have secured places are Yale University, Imperial College, University of St. Andrews, University of Bath, King’s College London, UCL, Fordham University, Northeastern University, University of British Columbia, École Hôtelière de Lausanne, University of Navarra, ESADE, and numerous others..
The outstanding achievements of our students in this demanding academic program are a testament to their dedication and the continuous support provided by our faculty and families throughout the two-year course. We take immense pride in their accomplishments and wish the Class of 2023 every success as they embark on a new and exhilarating chapter of their lives and education.
