Setting up, working during an event or helping to clean up afterwards, event volunteers are the ones that make it all happen! This is the easiest way to get involved as there is no on-going commitment. Just let the PTA now you are interested, and before events they will contact you to find a role that suits your availability.

The PTA coordinates the BFIS Grade Representatives. They facilitate communication between parents and the school and support BFIS staff as needed. In Primary, GRs may help coordinate class parties, special events, teacher gifts, and/or parent volunteers in the classroom. In Secondary they answer questions from parents and work with school leadership on special initiatives.

If you’re looking to really have an impact within the school, get to know teachers and staff and meet other like-minded parents, this is the role for you! You can get involved with organizing Events, support charitable works or help with special school initiatives.

While the main positions within the PTA Board are usually in place by the end of the previous year, we invite anyone interested in taking on a leadership position to talk to the PTA about becoming part of the team! Fresh faces and new ideas are always welcome!
