Kyra has worked in college admissions and recruitment, marketing communications, and future pathways consulting and advancement. She served as Marketing Manager at King’s College London, Associate Director of College Counseling at the Lycée Francais in New York, and University Counselor at the United World College Costa Rica, teaching IB Theory of Knowledge and leading service learning trips, including more recently as Future Pathways Lead at the British School of Barcelona.
Kyra set up her own career consultancy, Kokoro Careers, in 2022. Kyra has consulted for organizations such as The British Council, the University of Sydney, and ECIS, the Educational Collaborative for International Schools.
With Alumni relations and community-building experience across languages and cultures, connecting with people, making ideas happen and ensuring community members feel safe, included, well, and valued is her passion. A Green School certified educator, she is passionate about sustainability. At BFIS she supports the school’s financial growth, development and connection with our wider community.
A dual UK-US citizen raised in a mixed heritage family, she works to further inclusion via diversity, equity and anti-racism in international education, contributing as I-DEA workshop facilitator for the Council of International Schools and ECIS. Kyra holds a BA in English from the University of Southampton and a MA in Media from Southampton Solent University.
