Winter Book Fair

As we get ready for those cold winter days at home, how about a first-rate read to take with you to the slopes, to the airport or even having some extra time at home to curl up with a great read?  Well, our Winter Book Fair is just the place to find that book.

Today, on December 19th, the BFIS library joyously hosted our Annual Winter Book Fair in collaboration with the English book store, Come In. The event catered to Early Childhood, Elementary, Middle, and High School students, offering a diverse selection of literary treasures.

Varied selection

The fair showcased a rich array of literature, including illustrated books, captivating chapter books, and a mix of young fiction and non-fiction. Every attendee, regardless of age or taste, found something to ignite their literary passions.

With the impending Winter Break, students eagerly perused the offerings, seeking the ideal book or books to accompany them during the chilly days ahead. The fair provided a gateway to a world of stories waiting to be explored.

Excitement in the air

The classrooms buzzed with excitement and enthusiasm as students eagerly explored the fair. The atmosphere was filled with the promise of discovery and the joy of finding the perfect book companion. All classes participated, turning the fair into a vibrant hub of literary enthusiasm. Students moved from booth to booth, sharing recommendations and discussing their newfound literary gems with classmates.

The perfect winter escape

Sitting down with a cup of cocoa and a good book became the aspiration of many students. There’s no better way to spend a cold morning or afternoon than wrapped in the warmth of a delightful story.

Love for reading

The Winter Book Fair not only provided a platform for literary exploration but also fostered a genuine love for reading. The joyous atmosphere encouraged students to embrace the magic of storytelling and sparked a sense of community around the shared love for books.

Our deepest gratitude goes to our librarians, Emma Kerr and David Cevoli, for orchestrating this cherished and eagerly anticipated event. Through their creativity and commitment, our librarians have not only organized an event but have crafted an atmosphere where memories are made and the love for literature is nurtured.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Come In Book Store for their generous support. As many of you are aware, Come In contributes a percentage of today’s book sales directly to our library, enriching our collections of books.
